Master Key Week 8 – Back to the chair…

So, here I am almost 14 month into my personal Master Key Experience and 8 weeks being a guide, and I just had to re-write my DMP once more after some soul-searching and cement-chipping.

I must admit that I probably could have made this changes earlier but my ego wanted me to keep a part of my DMP, actually it wanted me to want to keep it, that just felt increasingly wrong on a purely emotional level. More so, I got stressed out by even reading that part and the connected point on my POA always got done last in the day and only because I keep my promises….

Then a big thing hit me, I was looking at my movie poster and realized that this particular part of my DMP, that heavily supports one of my PPN´s, was not visible – somehow I managed to leave it out without being consciously aware of that… Sneaky…

So, quite a few things pointing me to a re-write then and, still, I resisted changing anything just as I felt resistance reading the part.

Haanel writes in part 7 of the Master Key System:

‘6. They see the end before a single step is taken; so you are to picture in your mind what you want; you are sowing the seed, but before sowing any seed you want to know what the harvest is to be. This is Idealization. If you are not sure, return to the chair daily until the picture becomes plain; it will gradually unfold; first the general plan will be dim, but it will take shape, the outline will take form, then the details, and you will gradually develop the power by which you will be enabled to formulate plans which will eventually materialize in the objective world. You will come to know what the future holds for you.’

Clearly I was a far cry from idealizing my future, it didn´t get any clearer just building up more resistance… Thankfully Haanel gives us the remedy here: “Return to the chair daily until the picture becomes plain…”
How many times have I asked the members of my tribe to “take it (the question) into the sit”? You gotta love irony 😀

Then I went to Greece, more exact Macedonia, and on Saturday we visited not only the birthplace of Alexander III the Great, but also the School of Aristotle, where he spend his formative years between age 13 and 19 being tutored by the philosopher and scholar.

Aristotle´s teaching was based on logic and I´m sure he would have appreciated what Haanel writes in Part 8:

‘3. You may freely choose what you think, but the result of your thought is governed by an immutable law. Any line of thought persisted in cannot fail to produce its result in the character, health and circumstances of the individual. Methods whereby we can substitute habits of constructive thinking for those which we have found produce only undesirable effects are therefore of primary importance.
4. We all know that this is by no means easy. Mental habits are difficult to control, but it can be done and the way to do it is to begin at once to substitute constructive thought for destructive thought. Form the habit of analyzing every thought. If it is necessary, if its manifestation in the objective will be a benefit, not only to yourself, but to all whom it may affect in any way, keep it; treasure it; it is of value; it is in tune with the Infinite; it will grow and develop and produce fruit an hundred fold. On the other hand, it will be well for you to keep this quotation from George Matthews Adams, in mind, “Learn to keep the door shut, keep out of your mind, out of your office, and out of your world, every element that seeks admittance with no definite helpful end in view.”

I guess that Alexander didn´t feel inner resistance while conquering the know world (and then some), founding 18 cities and carrying the greek knowledge, philosophy and culture to people far away. While still letting them keep their traditions and integrate the new at their pace.

I guess we shouldn´t experience resistance agains our goals either…

So I took a hike:

Sorry for the sound quality, Apple still have some work to do on the noise reduction while filming in windy conditions with an iPhone 😉 – still I hope You heard what I said.
You know it took about two hours of constantly moving forward, mostly uphill and with no path to follow. I was alone in nature with my thought and without knowing it at the time I answered my question and found my passion on that hill in Macedonia.

Youregois
Needless to say, the part I resisted in my DMP had nothing to do with that passion, quite contrary forcing myself to go through with it would have confined me to indoor work 20+ hours per week without pay and effectively kept me from following my real desire.

Instead of resistance there is now joy, procrastination has been replaced by action, the bullet point on my WPOA card was exchanged for two new once that drive this passion and I was inspired by a tribe member to expand my sitting time.

And most of all the words from Og Mandinos “The Scroll marked II” sound true again:

“And most of all I love myself. For when I do I zealously inspect all things which enter my body, my mind, my soul, and my heart. Never I overindulge the requests of my flesh; rather I cherish my body with cleanliness and moderation.
Never I allow my mind to be attracted to evil and despair, rather I uplift it with the knowledge and wisdom of the ages. Never I allow my soul to become complacent and satisfied, rather I feed it with meditation and prayer. Never I allow my heart to become small and bitter, rather I share it and it grow and warm the earth.”

Thank You so much for taking the time to visit my blog, please leave a comment below and tell me what You think (honor me and Yourself by providing answers to the questions).

Mahalo, I appreciate You!

Master Key – Week 2: What target do you shoot for?

Is it the right target for You?
Or are you striving to live up to someone else’s idea of who and what you should be?

It’s week 2 of the #MasterKeyExperience and new members just learned about PPN’s, that’s short for Personal Pivoting Needs, and got to chose the two most important to them selves.
There are seven in total:Oxygen-is-a-big-deal-astronaut-t-shirt

  • Liberty
  • Legacy
  • Autonomy
  • Helping Others
  • True Health
  • Spiritual Growth
  • Recognition for Creative Expression

Our PPN’s are equally important for our happiness as the air we breath is to our body, in fact we call them “Oxygen for the Soul”.

target-successNot knowing which ones to shoot for is setting ourselves up to live ‘lives of quite desperation’ as the goals we set and achieve in life must be in line with our PPN’n to have any real value. Even if we hit our desired target it’s only really worth something as the target is in line with and brings us the oxygen for our soul.

So, if you haven’t given this some serious thought, yet. Please do so now and I’d love a comment below on which to PPN’s are most important to You!
